About the Author of the Memoirs
The memoirs on this site are attributed to Mary C. (Boser) Herman (1921–2014), known in the family as “Granny Herman.” She was the daughter of Joseph Boser (1883–1965) and Anna (Thalheimer) Boser (1887–1977), and the wife of Alexander “Alec” Herman (1925–2003, probable).
For clarity: another Mary Boser (1906–1984), born in Towner, North Dakota, was the second wife of John Herman (Junior) and thus Alexander’s stepmother. She is not the author of these memoirs.
